Twenty-First Day of School

In Writing we began revising in blue ink. Our process for revising is:

  1. Reread
  2. Ask yourself:
    • Is it clear?
    • Is it interesting?
    • Is it complete?
  3. If the answer to any of these is 'no', add or change as necessary.
Today we added details for interest. We also checked to make sure our writing includes transitions words as these are necessary to obtain a rubric score of 3. In your own writing make sure each page begins with a transition. It is instructed that 'And then,' is not used as a transistion in first grade.

In Math, we took our second progress check test for chapter 1.

      Yes, only unfortunately, I forgot to pass them out as we were very busy with our Math activity today.

    Our Secretary again forgot to remind us pass the Math tests back once again. Hopefully Tuesday they will be returned.
